hi.

It’s so nice of you to pop in to see how your boi blue be. Truth be told, I’ve been absolutely bonkers busy. I just could not stand the thought of this extension of internet reel estate joining the ranks of β€œunder-construction” wasted space.

Soooooooooooooooo, I’m gonna try and remedy that. Starting now. Let me just find something really quick…

…AH! Here we go, and here you go: ∞

When I want to test new instruments or software, I often do so with improvised material or something I’m not expecting to sound super good right off the bat, and only a few of those instances ever make as far as this one did.

I bought an acoustic for just picking up and playing without me needing to turn on a DAW or an amp; just me and the riffs. This jam came from just playing that guitar. So I took it downstairs to test its pickup, but I didn’t like how it sounded. You’re hearing an old MXL condenser capture that I did absolutely nothing to besides edit in post. The rest of the instrumentation was spur of the moment with whatever I had on deck.

I’m currently bundling each copy with stickers and autographs before I seal em up and begin to ship em out in September. We’re thrilled to have our album back in stock again, so please grab yours while they are here!

Another fresh off the mobile phone skillet. I sampled my foot massage machine for everything minus the kick and snare samples. The sample of the foot massager dictated the initial BPM and root note.

If anyone has interest in using this beat, you may do so as long as you credit me accordingly.

…Imagine if there were dots to resemble the amount of time I took between my submissions. Would that be cruel or what?

Hello again, thanks for returning.

As promised, I found something else from a point in time where I was very busy that, in the end, fell through the proverbial cracks.

I give you… Long Song (Demo).

This thing has some lore. This was coming out of the β€œillusions ep” era and into demoing for our full length. Evan wrote the entire structure, and I followed. We ended up distributing the instrumentation differently for this recording. In one solid pass instrumentally, one of us played guitar, kick, snare, while the other sat on a cajon with a fretless bass. Vocals were added afterwards. No real reason for wanting to try that way specifically other than the desire to explore new ways to create. Ultimately, we found that the top and bottom would become the intro and outro for the final release. The original was scrapped and forgotten.

Until today.

…I hope y’all are digging these files. I think it’s also worth mentioning that all of these files up to this point that I’ve shared with you have been works that I completed using either an iPad or my phone.

For nearly 6 years, my old desktop computer had been out of commission, and I was nowhere near financially stable enough to afford an upgrade. Fortunately, there had been advancements made in digital audio throughout the eons and epochs. Thanks to Steinberg’s mobile apps, I was able to keep creating with powerful tools that began to compete with the latest tech.

That was until I was able to finance a MacBook eventually, and I now see what I’ve been missing out on. I love where my music journey has taken me over the years whether it was either circumstantial or voluntary.
